As I put pen to paper I’m terribly sad,

But try to remember the fun times we’ve had.

Off to the cinema we’d get in our seats,

Watching The Fox & The Hound (with armfuls of sweets! 🍬🍬

Walking a neighbour’s pet Doberman Ben,

Who had a dislike for grass, and ironically when

My Phillip pointed ‘What’s that over there?’

The dog hit the deck and Phill flew through the air!😂
A date we arranged for Alton Towers,

A fun day we had in the long queues for hours.

It rained, oh it poured till we all had to go,

Into the shop for a plastic poncho! 🌧

Gill laughted as Phill tucked his in with a sag,

She said, ‘Why do you even look good in a bin bag?’

Pets were your passion so you followed your dream,

To be a vet nurse…or so it would seem.
Not quite going to plan you put it to bed,

’Right, well I’ll be joiner!’ You announced instead. 
We’d bring over our dogs, the pooches would play,

Always great fun when we came for the day!
Lovely long walks, tin-can alley would ‘ping’
Fun by the firepit, not forgetting THE SWING! 
A tray full of ‘Wigan Kebabs’ from the barn,

(For those not familiar-it’s a pie on a barm!) 🥧

Then Gill’s own ice cream and cakes, there were lots!🧁

And sent home with sweets, homemade vodka shots!

With archery, dog agility, dog walking and baking,

Go Ape (another fav) life was for the taking.

You’re kind and fun loving, thoughtful as can be,

Anyone who knows you I’m sure they’d agree.  

Heartbroken and devastated both equal measure,💔

But memories held dear, good times we will treasure.

No more suffering now, no more stress, no more pain,

Reunited with Libby and Kody again. 🐾🐾

I’ll miss you so much, all my love I do send,

With these memories and words, my dear cousin my friend.
