I met Gill when she regularly visited the Nursing home (New Fairholme) where I work. Accompanied by her most adorable, gentle & loving PAT dogs. They brought a ray of sunshine into both staff & residents lives & were simply, just the best. We always looked forward to their visits. When Gill lost Cody, she still listened with such understanding & empathy when I talked about the dog I’d lost. We will always remember Gill with such fondness, who had a very special talent in enhancing others lives, always leaving us with a fantastic general sense of well being. Our thoughts go to Matt & all Gill’s family & friends.

Gill - thank you for just being YOU and for all the joy you have shared with me. When you were a child I never knew which Gill was going to come downstairs - nice Gill or the evil twin. Thank you for bringing Matt, Amber, Libby, Kodi, Kaya and even Bella into my life. Thank you for the hideous Scooby Doo Angel you put on your Christmas Tree. In fact speakng of Christmas, thank you for being Little Miss Christmas every year, starting in September or sometimes even earlier. Thank you for the crazy hats. I will be wearing one to celebrate. So many to choose from!
I will never forget your telling Louise and I off for paying for a cinema ticket and then staying to see another film without paying again. You were so cute and serious! Just the goodest of people. Thanks for the cakes and biscuits. Even though I lived so far away that you had made one for me made me feel remebered and cared about.
I will miss our 2 and 3 hour phone calls and listening to you waxing lyrical about your latest scheme or plan, no matter how hare brained it seemed to be. Your enthusiasm for them was just so you and made them seem possible, no matter how improbable. I was so glad when you found archery as I had loved it too and it brought back happy memories for me.
I am sad that that I will never see you again, never get to hug you again, never laugh with, and at, you again, but so happy that you, one of the very best of people, have been in my life. Thank you for being not just my niece, but my friend. I miss you. Love you xxx

We met Gill by chance and that's all it took for her to steal our hearts. She was a crazy, loveable woman who knew exactly what to say and do to cheer anyone up.
We went on quite a few adventures, full of love and laughter from wolfie walks/pool party to celebrating a friends wedding day with her dancing the night away in disco light shoes. 🎶💃😆
Although we won't be able to go on many more adventures and hear Gill's lovely voice/laughter. We can all say that meeting her was an amazing gift from God.
She was more than a friend, she was family from the moment she stepped into our life. I know wherever she is that she will be in peace and forever missed. 💙
